MY GOALS

Learning. Teaching. Sharing.

My knowledge of HR developed over years in private industry as the President of Venture Graphics and from formal education in Human Resource Management. I implemented best practices from the HR world to lead a successful and engaged organization. Now I have been provided the opportunity to share through education my experiences and knowledge of HR. My goal is to provide students and the community with opportunities to learn and develop. Through educational opportunities, we become better community members that drive the development of sustainable organizations. Success is a collaborative process that includes organizations, individuals, and communities. I am honored to be a small part of this process.

HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGEMENT PROGRAM

Point Park University

I designed the human resources management major to prepare students to become strategic business leaders who enable organizations to succeed. Students are provided solid business education to become strategic business partners with an organization. Learning only begins in the classroom and never ends. I have developed and included numerous experiential learning opportunities and collaborations to ensure students are prepared for a career in HR. Seniors prepare and sit for the SHRM CP exam.

INNOVATION

Activities to Advance Women

I continue to be actively involved in the Women In Industry initiative through the  Rowland School of Business at Point Park University. I developed and hosted with Dr. Dorene Ciletti the very successful Accelerating Women In Industry event that took place on March 6. 2020 at Point Park University. We continued exploring Holistic Resilience during the 2021-2022 academic year with a series of webinars, WiN Wednesdays, and panel discussions, Fireside Fridays. Women in Industry will focus on Intentional Inclusion & Belonging during the 2022-2023 academic year.  The 2023-2024 year was focused on Inclusive Leadership and the 2024-2025 season will address Ehtics.
